MARATHON RELAY
The Trail Festival's newest relay is Here! The ERS has decided to adjust what the SMR relay looks like, by switching it from a 3 person 50K relay to a 2 Person Marathon relay, in which both team members will each have to run the Half Marathon course. Here is the breakdown:
-
Teams of 2 ANY Combination... all female, all male, or Co-ed.
-
Each member of the team will run the Half Marathon course individually.
-
One bib will be assigned to each team.
-
Teams will swap out bibs at the dedicated checkpoint near the finish line.
-
ERS will supply bib belts to each team to for easier bib swap.
-
First team member will begin the race with the solo Half Marathon runners at the start line.
-
Second team member will begin at the dedicated checkpoint, BUT finish under the finish line arch.
-
The TOTAL time for the team will be recorded as the final result.
-
Top 3 overall teams will be awarded.
REGISTRATION:
On the event registration site, you will find Marathon relay Team Captain and Team Member registration. To make it an easy process during registration, Team Captain's will be responsible for race fee and the creation of team name.
